This is a photo of 'our Fred' - Fred was the friend of all the children in the neighbourhood. He used to get Christmas cards, birthday cards, and Valentine's Day cards from all his admirers. Unfotunately he died at the end of May. He would have been 13 years old in July 2000.
We received many sympathy cards and flowers from his friends.

This is a photo of our new Labrador dog - "Oscar". When Fred died we said we would never have another dog but 6 months later ..... Oscar joined us in December 2000. He was just over two and a half years old. Unfortunately the years haven't been too kind to Oscar. He is now 8 years old but was having breathing difficulties and difficulty in walking. The vet diagnosed an enlarged heart and fluid on the lungs. He is on medication and keeps going but he is not as mobile as he used to be.

Oscar was a bit of a handful at first and we decided to get another dog to keep him company. We bought "Charlie", a black Labrador puppy in March 2002 and Oscar and Charlie are now inseperable. The only problem is that Charlie likes chewing rugs, carpets, chairs etc ........... Hopefully he will grow out of that shortly.
UPDATE - Charlie is now 4 years old and a lovely dog with a very friendly disposition. He and Oscar get on very well together and are still inseparable even though Oscar is so poorly - Charlie looks after Oscar and is always washing him and lying close.
